2 scavengers jailed 3 months each for criminal conspiracy

Abuja, May 14, 2018 (NAN) A Gudu Upper Area Court, Abuja, on Monday sentenced two scavengers to three months imprisonment each for criminal conspiracy and trespass.
The convicts- Kabiru Lawal and Musa Idris of Mabushi,  Abuja, were convicted of a four-count charge bordering on criminal conspiracy, trespass, mischief and attempt to steal.
The judge, Bello Rufai, however, gave the convicts N5,000 option of fine each.

Earlier, the prosecutor, Insp. Augustine Urom, told the court that the defendants committed the offences on Feb.16,2018, at No. 1, Gana St., Maitama, Abuja.
He said the duo trespassed into the quarters and broke into a building and made attempt to steal.
Urom said the offences contravened Sections 97, 343 and 95 of the Penal Code.(NAN)
