Cleric condemns killings, urges more provision of more equipment to armed forces

Minna, Feb. 13,2020 ( NAN) The Chief Imam of the Federal University of Technology, Minna Central Mosque, Dr Bashir Yankuzo, has condemned the incidences of kidnapping, banditry and cattle rustling in some parts of the country.
Yankuzu made the condemnation in an interview with News Agency of Nigeria (NAN) in Minna on Thursday.
He described as senseless, the killings being perpetrated by the criminals in parts of the country.
He, therefore, urged the Federal Government to provide more equipment to the Armed Forces to enable them to tackle the security challenges facing the country more effectively.
The Cleric, however, commended the federal government for introducing community policing, saying, the initiative would help to address the lingering security challenges in the country.
He called on Nigerians to support the federal government in the ongoing fight against banditry and kidnapping by giving information on miscreants to the nearest security agencies for prompt action.( NAN)
