NSCDC deploys 60 special personnel to JAMB-CBT centres in Enugu

Enugu, March 10, 2020 (NAN) The Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps (NSCDC) says it has deployed 60 special personnel to the Joint Admissions and Matriculation Board (JAMB) Computer Based Test (CBT) centres in Enugu State.
CSP Danny Iwuchukwu, the NSCDC Public Relations Officer, Enugu State Command, disclosed this to the News Agency of Nigeria (NAN) on Tuesday in Enugu.
NAN reports that JAMB has scheduled the 2020 Unified Tertiary Matriculation Examination (UTME) for between March 14 and April 4.
Iwuchukwu said that the command had deployed two specialised, trained and well-briefed personnel in each of the 23 JAMB-CBT centres in the state.
According to him, the command has also deployed and detailed 14 surveillance and supervisory officers, who will be on patrol monitoring and coordinating security activities in each of the 23 centres.
The NSCDC spokesman said that the command would ensure maximum security at the centres and that no candidate engaged in any form of cheating during the examinations.
“There is a level of comportment and discipline which NSCDC personnel expect from the candidates for the examination.
“They are expected to submit themselves to the rules and regulations of the examination.
“We also expect them to come with confidence and forthrightness to take the exam and succeed in it as well as book a place in the institutions of their choice,’’ he said.
Iwuchukwu noted that NSCDC, as the leading security agency at the JAMB-CBT centres, would be willing to collaborate with other interested security agencies in the state to achieve a resounding success during the exercise. (NAN)
