COVID-19: Jumai to provide consumers access to hygiene products to stay safe

Lagos, March 20, 2020 (NAN) The Jumia Nigeria says it offers to provide consumers access to hygiene products to stay safe and guard against COVID-19 disease.

Its Chief Executive Officer, Massimilano Spalazzi, made this known on Friday in Lagos.

Spalazzi said it plans to have a  price slash offers for the products for customers during the 2020 Tech Week price slash offer.

The News Agency of Nigeria (NAN) reports that the week tagged: “Stay Safe Campaign” is to distribute hygiene products, groceries and home essentials to various customers.

The theme of the campaign scheduled to run from March 23 to March 29 is: “Upgrade Your Life”.

Spalazzi, in a statement, said the sales was also aimed at providing for consumers groceries, utility bills and all relevant fast moving goods.

 

He said that there were over six million home essential products that Nigerians could choose from, especially during the critical time of restriction as a result of  Coronavirus outbreak.

“Tech Week gives customers the opportunity to buy tech related items at the most affordable prices, irrespective of social status, earnings or budget by offering massive discount deals.

“To take advantage of this amazing opportunity, customers are expected to download the Jumia App from the android or iOS stores and follow the Jumia social media handles for purchase of tech products,” he said.

Spalazzi said the theme of the week offers an immense upgrade of the mobile week that offers customers’ discounts on mobile phones.

 

He explained that during the Tech Week, customers could get deals on over 10,000 gadget products in partnership with global brands like Samsung, Intel, HP, Microsoft, Nexus and Scanfrost.

 

“The Tech Week offer is in response to our customers who yearn for such opportunities beyond just mobile phones.

 

“The week is a-seven day window for shoppers on Jumia platform to save money by getting value for less on global gadget brands of their choice.

 

“This campaign caters for everyone with gadget needs, gamers who need the latest video game, and a student who needs a laptop, as well as phone enthusiast.

“It also caters for homemaker into appliances, or a sports lover who wants that large screen TV during the Tech Week,” Spalazzi said. (NAN)
