Traditional ruler lauds Buhari for construction of solar borehole, road in domain

Wakama (Nasarawa State), March 22, 2020 (NAN) The District Head of Wakama in Nasarawa State, Mr Adams Makka-Nangba, has commended President Muhammadu Buhari for construction of 50,000-litre capacity solar borehole at Angbre Kpari-Ezhiba community.

Angbre Kpari-Ezhiba community is in Wakama District of Nasarawa Eggon Local Government Area of the state.

Makka-Nangba gave commendation on Sunday at the commencement of  the drilling of the borehole in Angbre Kpari-Wakama, Nasarawa Eggon Local Government Area of the state.

He pointed out tha, if completed, the borehole would solve the problem of water scarcity  in the community and its environs.

“He who provides water, provides life as human beings cannot sustain their lives without water, hence the need for the commendation.

“I am expressing my happiness with President Muhammadu Buhari, Gov. Abdullahi Sule of Nasarawa state, the Hon. Minister of Water Resources for constructing a solar borehole of 50,000-litre-capacity at Angbre kpari in Ezhiba community in Wakama District, Akun development area, Nasarawa Eggon LGA Nasarawa state.

“The water project will go a long way towards improving the standard of living of the people of my domain and its environs,” he said.

Makka-Nangba also commended the Federal Government for the construction of 13-kilometre Ola/Akpata road in the area.

He said that the construction of the road would not only boost transport system but would improve the standard of living of the people of the area and its environs.

“I also want to commend the federal government for constructing the OLA Junction road linking Akwanga down to Akpata down Eggon hill.

“The road is already turning the district into urban centre. The road project will boost the socioeconomic activities of our people and the state at large,” he said.

He urged motorcyclists and motorists to ply the road with caution in order to save human lives and for the overall development of the area.

The district head also called on investors to take advantage of the road to establish companies and other vocational training centres for the youths of the area and Nigerians at large.

He further advised his people to heed to  the federal government advisory on COVID-19 so as to prevent the spread of the disease.(NAN)
