COVID-19: FRSC urges Muslim faithful to be obedient to leaders during Ramadan fast

Sango-Ota (Ogun), April 26, 2020 (NAN) The Federal Road Safety Corps (FRSC) Command in Ogun has advised Muslim faithful to be obedient to their leaders during the Ramadan fast to contain the spread of COVID-19 in the country.
Mr Clement Oladele,the state FRSC Sector Commander,gave the advice in an interview with the News Agency of Nigeria (NAN) in Ota, on Sunday.
Oladele noted that a Muslim must be obedient to his leaders to be qualified as a good Muslim.
“The Holy Book also recognise that we should obey our political leaders,” he said.
According to him,the political leaders are representative of God who are in the position through the will of God.
“We need the political leaders to be able to guide our affairs so we need to trust them,” he said.
Oladele implored the people to strictly comply with what the leaders were telling them about COVID-19 because it has ravaged all the countries of the world.
He said that people needed to adhere to social distancing,good hygiene and stay at home to further prevent the spread of the COVID-19.(NAN)
