Dutse, Nov. 25, 2019 (NAN) Gov. Muhammad Badaru of Jigawa has warned heads of ministries, departments and agencies (MDAs) in the state not to reject corps members posted to their offices.

Badaru gave the warning during the closing ceremony of 2019 Batch C, Stream 1 orientation course in Dutse, on Monday.

Represented by the Secretary to the State Government (SSG), Alhaji Adamu Fanini, the governor said that any head of agency, who rejected corps members posted to his organisation, did so at his or her own peril.

He congratulated the corps members for successfully completing the three weeks orientation training.

The governor said that he had directed all the 27 local government chairmen to do things that would make the corps members enjoy their national service in the state.

He enjoined the corps members to respect the cultural norms and values of their host communities.

Badaru also urged them to acclimatise to the environment, with a view to serving the people, the state and the country diligently.

Earlier in his remark, the State NYSC Coordinator, Alhaji Ibrahim Muhammad, expressed happiness that all the corps members were able to complete the three-week orientation successfully and without any casualty.

Muhammad announced that about 400 corps members were relocated on grounds of ill-health, pregnancy and being nursing mothers. (NAN)
