Emir of Karaye lauds NMA over contribution to community health

Kano,Dec.10, 2019(NAN) The Emir of Karaye, Alhaji Ibrahim Abubakar II, has commended the Nigeria Medical Association for its contributions to health care development in the country.

The Emir made the commendation when the National Chairman of Nigeria Nedical Association paid him a homage in his palace.

This is contained in a statement signed by the Information Officer of Karaye Emirate Council, Alhaji Haruna Gunduwawa and issued to newsmen on Tuesday in Kano.

The monarch stressed the need for NMA to step up more effort in experimental process with a view to ensure total eradication of malaria and other rampant diseases.

The Emir said that millions of Nigerians are dying of malaria and other related diseases.

Earlier, the National President of the Nigeria Medical Association, Dr Francis Adebayo, said they were at the Emir’s palace to pay homage and solicit his blessing; as he is on tour of Kano State to attend the National Annual general meeting of the association.

Adebayo said the association aims at supervising Nigeria’s health care development, challenges, problems and the way out.

He added that the NMA is currently conducting a free medical outreach adding that two million people are expected to benefit from it at Gwarzo.(NAN)
