Lagos, Jan. 16, 2017 (NAN) Mr Frank Sellin, the Deputy Public Affairs Officer at the U.S. Consulate-General in Lagos, on Monday urged young Nigerian writers to use online tools to publish their books.
Sellin told the News Agency of Nigeria (NAN) that talented writers in the country only needed the resources and knowledge to push through their materials to public domain.

“You have always had potentials; all you have to do is look at Wole Soyinka and everyone in the Nigerian literary universe – Chimamanda Adichie and so many a Nigerian wonderful writers.
“So, there is incredible talent out here in Nigeria; they are just lacking the resources and the knowledge to get their books out there.
“That is why they should grab tools like Amazon’s Free Publishing opportunities and any other free publishing opportunities they can find to get their books and ideas out there.
“Nigeria is part of that conversation and should be much louder with a much stronger voice.
“Beyond that, I don’t know the Nigerian book publishing market place well enough personally to give you the market expertise on what you should do to publish beyond that.”
