Ilorin, April 23, 2018 (NAN) A cleric, Sheikh Seyyidi Musa- Aloba, has advised Nigerian artisans to always use indigenous materials in executing projects in order to create more jobs and contribute to the growth of the economy.
Musa-Aloba, the founder of Jamuiat Nadir Al- Fridaus Society of Nigeria, gave the advice in llorin at a seminar on “The Role of Nigerian Artisans in Building the Nigerian Economy’’ organised by the society.
The founder of the society while addressing the gathering said the use of such indigenous quality materials would further boost the nation’s economy and create more employment opportunities for the teeming unemployed youths.
The cleric attributed the rampant cases of building collapse in various parts of the country to poor and fake materials in the market.
Musa-Aloba advised artisans to always be careful, responsible and allow truth, good judgment and trust to be their guiding principle while executing jobs.
Also speaking, the Director with the Kwara State Internal Revenue Service, Alhaji Mohammed Nuhu- Olaide, advised artisans to imbibe modern trend of promoting their businesses in their profession.
He charged them to show more tact and skill in executing projects.
The News Agency of Nigeria (NAN) reports that more than 150 artisans with various skills from across the six geo-political zones of the country attended the seminar.
The artisans included painters, tailors, vulcanizers, bricklayers, and plumbers among others. (NAN)
