Benin, Jan. 30, 2017 (NAN) An Egor Magistrates’ Court in Benin on Monday sentenced one Ehigie Omosusi, 21, to three years imprisonment over attempt to steal and membership of cult.

The Chief Magistrate, Mrs Igho Braimoh, pronounced the sentence when Omosusi pleaded guilty to the charges.

He was arraigned on two-count charge of stealing and membership of secret society.

In the charge, Omosusi, with others still at large, attempted to steal a car battery at Debekeme Street, Ugbiyokho, Benin City, on Jan. 5.

The offences contravened Section 64 (a), of the Criminal Code of the defunct Bendel State. (NAN)
