Katsina, March 9, 2019 (NAN) The Governorship and State Assembly elections are going on peacefully in Katsina State, the News Agency of Nigeria (NAN) reports.
A NAN Correspondent monitoring the elections in Katsina, Batagarawa, Charanchi, Kankia, and Rimi Local Government Areas, reports that voters conducted themselves in an orderly manner and cast their votes without resorting to any act capable of generating violence.
As at the time of writing this report, the Card Readers being used for the election were functioning as expected in most of the polling units visited.
Some of the voters, who spoke with NAN, expressed satisfaction with the election.
Malam Yusuf Abdullahi, a voter, said the peaceful conduct of the elections had projected the country in good light.
He, therefore, praised INEC for making improving its operations, particularly the early accreditation of voters and the good working condition of the Card Readers.
NAN also observed that people living with disability were given special consideration to enable them to vote without difficulties. (NAN)
