Abees Academy beat Basic Maracana to finish third in 2019/2020 FCT FA League

Abuja, Feb. 17, 2020 (NAN) Abees Football Academy on Monday in Abuja emerged the third-best team in the 2019/2020 FCT FA League after outscoring Basic Maracana 2-1 at the Area 3 football pitch.
Abees Football Academy came from a goal down to see off Basic Maracana in the competition’s third-place match which kept many football fans on the edge their seats.
Chima Chikwe had put Basic Maracana ahead in the 60th minute in a spectacular manner.
The team scored from an attack built from the goalkeeper with an exchange of a string of passes to earn a deserved lead.
Abees Academy’s infuential captain, Malaya Rueben, rose to bring his team back into the game with a penalty kick which sent goalkeeper Ibraheem Yusuf the wrong way.
Ten minutes later, Shedrack Zakari utilised Anthony Raymond’s assist to score the winning goal from close range.
