Gombe, Feb. 26, 2020 (NAN) Mrs Florence Yaakugh, newly posted NYSC Coordinator, Gombe State, has pledged to run an open door policy for the success of the scheme in the state.
Miss Magrate Dankama, NYSC Public Relations Officer in Gombe made this known in a statement made available to News Agency of Nigeria (NAN) in Gombe on Wednesday.
She quoted Yaakugh as expressing her satisfaction with the warm reception she got on arrival at the state.
“I will run an open door policy. Feel free to share ideas that would take the scheme to greater heights,” she said.
Mr David Markson, outgoing coordinator, who was transferred to Taraba State, appreciated staff for the robust working relationship he enjoyed in his short stay in Gombe.
He urged all to give the incoming coordinator the necessary support to succeed.
NAN reports that the new NYSC coordinator had paid a visit to the Deputy Governor, Mr Manassah Jatau in his office.
The deputy governor commended the erstwhile state coordinator, Mr Markson for a cordial working relationship, especially through the use of Corps members in schools.
He called on the incoming state coordinator to feel at home and see Gombe State as home away from home.
Jatau also called on the new state coordinator to tow the path of her predecessor.
“Gombe is peaceful but we are not relenting in our effort to keep the State safe and secure.
“Feel free and enjoy your stay here as we do our best for the scheme,” Jatau said. (NAN)
