Traditional sports to feature in 2017 National Youth Games- TSFN Secretary-General

Abuja, May 3, 2017(NAN) Etim Udokang, the Secretary-General, Traditional Sports Federation of Nigeria (TSFN), says traditional sports will feature in the 2017 edition of the National Youth Games, slated to hold in Ilorin in September.

Udokang who spoke in an interview with
the News Agency of Nigeria (NAN) on Wednesday in Abuja, named the sports to feature as Ayo and Kokawa.

“We will feature Ayo and Kokawa in this edition, athletes in 40/45 kg category will feature in the Kokawa game.

“The sports featuring in the National Youth Games will help to popularise and create awareness for the games,’’ he said.

Udokang gave assurance that the federation would further increase the number of traditional sports that would feature in the next edition of NYG.(NAN)
