Kafanchan (Kaduna) March 18, 2020 (NAN) A Chief Magistrates’ Court in Kafanchan, Kaduna State, on Wednesday sentenced a 36-year-old business man, Obadiah Bako, to one year in Correctional Centre facility for causing bodily harm.
Bako was charged with act of causing grievous bodily harm, contrary to Section 216 of the Kaduna State Penal Code Law.
The Police Prosecutor, Insp. Esther Bishen, had earlier told the court that one Lucius Adamu reported the matter at the Divisional Police Station, Kaura on March 14.

In his ruling, the Trial Judge, Magistrate Abdulaziz Ibrahim, sentenced the accused to one year in a custodial facility with an option of N40, 000 fine.
Ibrahim also ordered the convict to pay N10, 000 cost to the complainant as compensation for medical treatment. (NAN)
