Ikeja, May 22, 2019 (NAN) A cart pusher, Sulaimon Adamu, was on Wednesday charged before an Ikeja Magistrates’ Court in Lagos for allegedly assaulting a man.

Adamu, who resides at the Fagba area of Agege, Lagos is facing a charge of assault, to which he pleaded not guilty.

The prosecutor, Sgt. Ishola Samuel, told the court that Adamu committed the offence on May 11, at Fagba Junction, Lagos.

The Magistrate, Mrs F. O. Hughes, admitted the defendant to bail in the sum of N20,000 with one surety in like sum.

She ordered that the surety must be resident within the court’s jurisdiction and should be gainfully employed.

Hughes also directed that the surety should swear to an affidavit of means and produce evidence of tax payment to Lagos State Government.
