Cooperative college matriculates 1,000 students, warns against cultism, other vices

Enugu, March 4, 2020 (NAN) The Federal Cooperative College, Oji River, Enugu State, on Wednesday matriculated 1,000 students into its 2019/2020 academic session.
The matriculation is the 22nd since the school was established.
Provost of the College, Dr Tonica Obodoagu, in an address at the occasion, charged the freshers to shun anti-social behaviour capable of truncating their dreams and damaging the image of the school.
He identified such vices to include cultism, hooliganism, examination malpractice, among 0thers.
Obodoagu also cautioned them against disobedience to lawful and constituted authority, warning that defaulters would be sanctioned.
On his achievements, the Provost said that the school had constructed a two kilometre access road to the College, and purchased a 200 KVA generating plant.
He enumerated other achievements to include the installation of a Solar-Powered electricity as well as the construction and renovation of administrative blocks, hostels and classrooms.
Obodoagu, however, said that the college was in dire need of offices for management/principal officers, additional hostel blocks, tractors for farming, as well as a 50-seater bus for students.(NAN)
