Mararaba (Nasarawa State), May 30, 2019 (NAN) A Mararaba Grade I Area Court, sitting in Nasarawa State, on Thursday, ordered the remand of a land agent, Dogara Monguso, in prison, for alleged criminal conspiracy, trespass and mischief.

The Judge, Salisu Mohammed, gave the order after the defendant, pleaded not guilty to a three-count charge leveled against him.

Mohammed adjourned the case until June 13, for continuation of hearing and bail.

The complainant, Mr Jonas Anyanwu of Aso B, Mararaba, had told the court that the defendant conspired with another, name unknown and criminally trespassed into his land at Epe, Karu, Nasarawa State.

Anyanwu also informed the court that he bought the land sometime in 2009 and when he decided to visit the land in 2019, he discovered that the defendant had trespassed into it.

He said that the defendant also sold the same land to another fellow, who is not aware that his accomplice had even developed and built on the said land.

The offence is contrary to and punishable under Sections 97, 348 and 327 of the Penal Code.(NAN)
