French embassy condemns Jan. 10, attacks in Afghanistan

Abuja, Jan. 13, 2017 (NAN) French Embassy on Friday in Abuja, condemned the attacks that plunged Afghanistan into mourning on January 10, killing more than 50 people including five UAE diplomats.

A statement from the embassy signed by Mr Denys Gauer, and made available to the News Agency of Nigeria (NAN), said, “France utterly condemn the series of attacks that plunged Afghanistan into mourning on January 10, killing more than 50 people, including five UAE diplomats.

“Several attacks were targeted against sites of symbolic significance for Afghan political life in Kabul, Kandahar and Lashkar Gah”.

According to the statement, France extends their condolences to the families and friends of the victims of these cowardly and dastardly acts.

“France would like to assure the Afghan authorities and people of its wholehearted solidarity.
“France is committed to the fight against terrorism and will continue to lend its support to Afghanistan in order to prevent and combat this scourge,’’ it said. (NAN)
