Goddosky FC assures on exposure for players ahead of NLO

Abuja, March 10, 2020 (NAN) The management of Goddosky Football Club, Anambra has pledged adequate preparation and exposure for the team ahead of the commencement of the Nationwide League One (NLO).

Team Manager of the Club, Chijioke Obodo, said this on Tuesday in Abuja at a news briefing ahead of a friendly match with FCT FA League champions WACO Football Academy.

He said the match scheduled for Friday at the Area 3 Astro Turf Football Pitch, Abuja was part of plans to expose the Anambra based team.

“We have brought Goddosky FC all the way from Anambra to play the FCT FA League champions WACO FA as part of efforts to keep the team in top shape ahead of the NLO,” he said.

Obodo said the privately managed club had just returned from a training tour of Turkey to further expose the players in keeping with international best practice.

Speaking, Coach of the team, Edmund Nduka said the young team was leaving no stone unturned to ensure a good outing for the team in the friendly.

Also, WACO Football Academy coach, John Wakil, said the friendly would help his team correct lapses ahead of the NLO and other engagements.

He urged Abuja residents to come out en-mass on Friday to have a feel of good football.

Goddosky FC, established in 2009  had set their sights on winning the Nationwide League One title and securing a ticket to play in the Nigeria National League (NNL) at the end of the season. (NAN)
