Group tasks journalists on promoting good public health

Bauchi, March 11, 2020 (NAN) Bauchi State Network of Media in Public Health, has advocated for comprehensive engagement in reporting public health issues to safeguard public health.
Elizabeth Kah, the Network Focal Person, gave the charge at a media advocacy meeting on Wednesday in Bauchi.
She noted that media practitioners as critical stakeholders in enhancing quality healthcare service delivery should demonstrate greater commitment towards awareness creation on family and public health issues.
“I am encouraging journalists to be reporting public health issues so as to save lives,” she said, and commended media managers for the support and encouragement in the promotion of health issues.
Also speaking, Mrs Rabi Ekelehe, Coordinator,The Challenge Initiative (TCI), said that the organisation would support the network to ensure attainment of public health goals.
News Agency of Nigeria (NAN) reports that the Network of Media on Public Health is working with relevant stakeholders to enhance access to quality healthcare services. (NAN)
