Institute promises to employ indigenes of Dutsen Alhaji to fast-track development

Abuja, July 14, 2017 (NAN) The Public Service Institute of Nigeria (PSIN) has promised to employ indigenes of Dutsen Alhaji area of the Federal Capital Territory (FCT) to ensure development of the area.

Dr Abdul-Ganihu Obatoyinbo, the Administrator of PSIN made the promise when he visited   Alhaji Abubakar Bako, the Hakimin of Dutsen Alhaji on Friday in Abuja.

The News Agency of Nigeria (NAN) reports that the institute is located at Dutsen Alhaji Junction, Kubwa – Zuba Express Way, Abuja, FCT.

According to Obatoyinbo, as soon as there is window to employ, indigenes of the area will be considered.

He said the traditional ruler had been like a father to the institute, and commended him for his support in the past years.

“PSIN is a key tool to achieving development in the country and we want to thank you for your support in helping us actualise our aim.

“We will continue to cooperate, support and work with you under our Cooperate Social Responsibility programme, we will involve this community in our activities and support them.

“We also have a primary school in the institute that the children of the community can benefit from.’’

He also solicited for the continuous involvement and prayers of the royal father in the affairs of the institute.

Responding, Bako, the Hakimin of Dutsen Alhaji, described Dutsen as a peaceful community, adding that Nigerians from all parts of the country reside in the area.

He added that the community was made up of 38 communities.

Bako solicited for the employment of indigenes, stating that even if it was a job in the lower cadre of the organisation in order to give them a sense of belonging.

According to the traditional ruler, it will go a long way in fast-tracking development in the area.

He also appealed to the administrator to provide space for indigenes to do petty business within the premises of the institute.

Bako also pledged continuous support of people of the community to the institute to ensure peaceful co-existence.

The Public Service Institute of Nigeria (PSIN) is the central learning institution for the Nigerian Public Service, and plays a pivotal role in developing people for a first class public service.

The Institute offers a comprehensive suite of programmes that build strategic capacity in the public service, focusing particularly on core areas in public governance, leadership, public administration and management.

PSIN works closely with central government and public sector agencies to embed values, communicate with public sector organisations as well as academia and international government agencies on best practices and experiences in leadership, policy development, public administration and public reforms.
