IWD: NIS hails women’s dedication to duty

Abuja, March 9, 2020 (NAN) The Comptroller General, Nigeria Immigration Service (NIS), Mr Muhammad Babandede, has hailed women in service for their commitment and dedication to duty in various positions they find themselves.

Babandede disclosed this in a statement by the Service Public Relations Officer, Mr Sunday James, on Monday in Abuja.

“International Women’s Day (IWD) is celebrated on March 8 every year with focus on movement for women’s rights, and this year’s theme is: “Each for Equal”.

“I want to congratulate the women for their commitment and dedication to duty as they occupy various positions without discrimination.

“This has put the NIS as the leading gender sensitive uniform service and I want to assure you of my support and good will always,” he said.

News Agency of Nigeria (NAN) reports that the women in return appreciated the mentorship of the CGI and assured him of their unalloyed loyalty.

The senior officers observed the day alongside the junior officers in the spirit of one world, one goal. (NAN)
