Kano Hisbah Board records 80 cases in April

Kano, May 3, 2018 (NAN) The Kano State Hisbah Board said it received 80 cases bordering on prostitution, matrimonial and missing children in the month of April.
The Board Public Relations Officer, Mallam Umar Yahaya made the disclosure in an interview with the News Agency of Nigeria (NAN) on Thursday in Kano.
Yahaya said that out of the number of cases, 19 were on prostitution, two on missing children ,and 59 were on matrimonial cases and breastfeeding mothers.
The public relations officer said the board was committed to its mandate of ridding the society of social ills, adding that efforts would be intensified to restore moral sanity in the state.
He said the board also confiscated 1, 200 crates of assorted beer in different parts of the state during the period under review stressing that the suspects would soon be charged to court.
He explained that the commodity would be destroyed at a later date to be announced by the board.
Yahaya urged members of the public to support the efforts of the board at ensuring a better society.(NAN)
