Lalong congratulates COCIN President at 61

Jos, March 4, 2020 (NAN) Gov. Simon Lalong of Plateau has congratulated Rev. Dacholom Datiri, the President of the Church of Christ in Nations (COCIN), as he clocks 61.

Lalong in a congratulatory message by his Director of Press and Public Affairs, Dr Makut Macham, described Datiri as a true man of God.

He said that Datiri had played a key role in promoting peaceful coexistence in Plateau and Nigeria.

He said that the COCIN President had contributed in enhancing harmonious living among members of communities in the state.

“I wish to congratulate Rev. Dacholom Datiri on his 61 birthday.

“He is a man of God who has devoted his energy, talent and time to the service of God and humanity.

“He has played a major role in the propagation of the gospel and promoting religious freedom and tolerance among the citizens of Plateau and Nigeria as a whole.

“He has expressed deep faith in boldly responding to the challenges of members of his congregation and the Christian community on the Plateau and beyond through his preachings and interventions,” the governor said

He thanked the COCIN President for enhancing the contributions of the Church to the development of the state in various sectors such as health, education and agriculture.

Lalong urged Datiri not to relent in strengthening members of his congregation to continue to support the government to deliver on its mandate.

He further called on Datiri to continue to work toward uniting the body of Christ in the State and the nation by offering his wealth of knowledge and wisdom. (NAN)
