NGO to set up football lottery to reduce youth restiveness

Abuja, Jan. 9, 2017 (NAN) Mr Emmanuel Akpakwu, the Director of Dakinda Penalty Game, an NGO has pledged to introduce a football lottery to curb youth restiveness in the Federal Capital Territory.

Akpakwu made the promise while briefing newsmen on the pre-launch of the establishment of the Dakinda Penalty Game.

He said the initiative was conceived in 2012 as revolutionary football penalty sports lottery, to occupy the minds of youths and direct their attention to the game.

“When we conceived the idea for this game in 2012 at a sporting event, I still remember that I reached out for the nearest napkin to write down this dream.

“We have assiduously worked on it and the Dakinda Penalty Game is a revolutionary sports lottery, with enormous rewards.

“The game does not only give the player true opportunities to win, but the outcome are primarily determined by his or her own playing skills.

“The penalty game is in a class of its own and there are no limits to what players can achieve.

“Youth restiveness and vices are expected to be on the decline after we launch this laudable initiative,’’ he said.

He further said that the engagement of the youth in the game would help divert their attention from vices into activities that would benefit them.

According to him, the Dakinda Penalty Game is designed to enhance youth talents in sports and to increase their entertainment value in football.

“Football is what unites people and the only thing that can always bring the broadest smile to the face of anyone who catches it.

“With just one ball and one goal, eligible players of 18 years and above can make money from football and become self reliant.”

He said the organisation had an online version of the Dakinda Penalty Game that could be downloaded on the Android play store for free. (NAN)
