Organisation calls for holistic approach to end terrorist attacks

Abuja, Nov. 5, 2019 (NAN) Third Model Solution Initiative for Peace (TMSIP) has called for holistic approach to counter terrorists attacks in the country.

TMSIP president, Apostle Peter Okorugbo, made the call at News Agency of Nigeria (NAN) flagship programme, NAN Forum, on Tuesday in Abuja.

Okorugbo said the organisation provides solutions by its “Beyond Counter-Terrorism” (BC-T) to complement the existing counter terrorism global efforts to save lives.

“The TMSIP provides solution by its BC-T content to make up the ongoing noble counter terrorism global efforts that result in vacillating of recidivism to save more lives from all sides of the divide.

“For institutional and academic development, we need to address the driving values that inform credence and breeding ground to the schism in the establishment of BC-T in order to make the world safer.

“We call on the UN, ME Institutions, NGO’s, FBO’s, Arab World, Israel and academic institution leaders for cooperation in defence and support for the sanctity of life,” he said.

Mrs Sarah Jibril, TMSIP board member, urged Nigeria to apply global ethics to change the country.

“The Office of Ethics in the UN must be enhanced; the best way to fight any problem is to prevent it,” she said.

Mr Mannaseh Kefas, an advisory council member of the organisation urged the Federal Government to put all hands on deck to make sure that things are set right.

He added that if there is no peace, there would be no Government as wisdom is better than the weapons of war.

NAN reports that TMSIP is a Non-Governmental Organisation in Nigeria that vies for peace through its BC-T approach for a lasting solution to global peace and security development. (NAN)
