Yola, July 22, 2019 (NAN) The Adamawa Commissioner charge of Public Complaints Commission (PCC), Mr Manassah Michael said his commission had resolved 112 cases brought before it, from January to June this year.

In a statement he issued on Monday in Yola, Michael said the cases resolved were part of the 414 complaints received by the commission within the period under review.

He said that the pending 318 cases were at various stages of investigation.

The commissioner explained that some of the cases handled included illegal deduction of money from bank account, wrongful termination of employment and non-payment of pension contributions.

He said the other cases had to do with underpayment of salaries, unlawful confiscation of land, as well as non-payment of retirement and welfare benefit.

He reiterated the commission’s commitment to investigating all complaints to logical conclusion, urging the public to always contact any of it offices for intervention in Yola, Mubi, Gombi, Numan, Ganye and Mayo-Belwa towns.

“The public is reminded that the services of the commission are rendered free of charge.

“They are therefore advised to take advantage of it; anyone whose right has been denied should seek redress and should not suffer in silence, or take the laws into their hands,” Manassah advised.(NAN)
