Police arraign applicant over alleged criminal trespass

Abuja, June 27, 2019 (NAN) The police on Thursday arraigned a 20-year-old applicant, David Moses in a Grade I Area Court Mpape Abuja, for alleged criminal trespass.
The police charged Moses, who resides at Mpape with a one count charge.
The Police Prosecutor, Edwin Ochayi, told the court that one Ezekiel Micheal, of Junior Secondary School Mpape, reported the matter at Mpape Police Station on June 21.
Ochayi said the complainant reported that on that same date the defendant and others now at large trespassed into the school premises.
The defendant allegedly started making trouble with the school principal in the school premises.
The prosecutor said the offence contravened the provisions of sections 342 of the Penal Code.
After the charge was read to him, he pleaded not guilty.
The Presiding Judge, Salihu Ibrahim, admitted the defendant to bail in the sum of N200,000 with one surety in like sum.
He ordered that the surety must be a reliable and reasonable person who must reside within the court’s jurisdiction.
The judge adjourned the case until July 17, for further hearing. (NAN)
