UDUTH Sokoto gets new Chief Medical Director

Sokoto June 12, 2018 (NAN) President Muhammadu Buhari has approved the appointment of Dr Anas Sabir, as the Chief Medical Director (CMD) of Usmanu Danfodiyo University Teaching Hospital (UDUTH), Sokoto for an initial period of four years.
UDUTH Head of Public Affairs Unit, Malam Buhari Abubakar disclosed this in a statement issued to the News Agency of Nigeria (NAN) in Sokoto on Tuesday.
Abubakar said the appointment was conveyed in a letter which was signed by the Minister of Health, Professor Isaac Adewole.
According to him, Buhari in the letter urged the new CMD to work collaboratively with all relevant stakeholders to deliver quality healthcare services to the people.
NAN reports that Sabir is a Consultant Endocrinologist and who had served as Chairman, Medical Advisory Committee and Acting CMD of the hospital before his appointment.
He succeeded Dr Yakubu Ahmed who held the position for eight years. (NAN)
